The Bellows Falls Opera House is currently searching for a new Theater Events Coordinator: The Town of Rockingham seeks an individual to coordinate special events in the Bellows Falls Opera House in Bellows Falls, Vermont. This is a part-time position of twenty hours a week, plus events, with some weekends and long hours. Preference will be given to candidates with with a knowledge of the local community and regional entertainment market and extensive experience in theater management, production, and arts administration. Applicants should be detail-oriented, have the ability to work in a fact paced environment, and be able to deal effectively with the public. Theater Events Coordinator Responsibilites
Administration: Ability to be detail-oriented, work in a fact paced environment, and communicate effectively.
· Updates Opera House website and sends out a monthly e-newsletter.
· Creates and distributes posters promoting in-house theater events.
Event Coordination: Experience in theater management and production.
· Light, physical effort to perform duties under typical working conditions. Some work required evenings, weekends, and long hours.
Community Interaction: Ability to deal effectively and openly with the public, local community and regional entertainment market.
· Makes frequent contact with the performing arts community, general public, town staff, and news media.
· Holds at least one Opera House Open House per year, free for the public with tours and information available.
